Bruno Mars is an American singer and producer. Mars initially came to prominence as an acknowledged music producer, who wrote lyrics for other artists along with his production team The Smeezingtons. However it was only after being featured on and co-writing B.o.B's "Nothin' on You" and Travie McCoy's "Billionaire" that he became famous as a musician. In 2013, Mars received 55 nominations and won 17, including International Artist of the Year at the NRJ Music Awards; Best International Act at the Los Premios 40 Principales and Best Song for "Locked Out of Heaven" at the MTV Europe Music Awards. In 2014, Mars received 29 nominations and 9 awards, including International Artist of the Year at the NRJ Music Awards; International Male Solo Artist at the Brit Awards, International Album of the Year at JUNO Award and Best Pop Vocal Album for ''Unorthodox Jukebox'' at the Grammy Awards . In 2015 Mars has, so far, received 17 nominations and one award for British Single of the Year at the Brit Awards for his collaboration on Mark Ronson's single "Uptown Funk".
